With the forthcoming 3.0 firmware bringing live looping and MIDI USB host compatibility to the Deluge we wanted to deliver an affordable and quality solution for those users hoping to go hands-free.
We looked into multiple options, looking for a well constructed device, one offering minimal latency and that worked seamlessly with the Deluge. We’re very pleased to announce today that we’ve teamed up with a European boutique manufacturer to deliver a custom version of one of their brilliant pedals, with a minor software tweak and custom finish.
The pedal will be accompanied by a 1.8metre Type B Male-Male cable so you can use with your Deluge without any further adaptors*.
The USB MIDI Foot Controller will be selling for $95USD + shipping, only through our website.
These pedals are still being manufactured and not mass produced, so though we expect to be able to ship the first batch before the public release of the 3.0 firmware, it will depend on demand as to how many we are able to supply.
We are not doing a preorder for these, instead we are creating a wait-list. As soon as we have stock on the way, we’ll contact those on the list in order of signing up. To join the wait-list, do so here
Those customers who have preordered a new 3.0 replacement panel or any other item from us will be receiving an email next week with details if they would prefer to wait for a pedal to combine shipping. Do not wait for that email to go on the wait list though. Sign up now.
News about the 3.0 update and other goings-on in Deluge-land will be in our next newsletter, out next week. If you’re not signed up to receive them, enter your email address into the box at the bottom of this page.
* Remember, if you wish to use your Deluge as a USB host you will need to be supplying power to the Deluge with a 9V DC power supply to do so. If you wish to remain portable you could employ a USB to 9V convertor cable, such as this one from Birdcord, that you’ll be able to run from a power bank.
If you can run from a mains supply, any reliable brand from any reputable retailer will be fine, just make sure the adaptor is centre-negative with a 2.1mm plug.
